We are a Kenyan web hosting company, and we shaped SiteBoma around the way small businesses really operate. You check out by card or M-Pesa, the prices are clear, a Nairobi team answers in real time, and sites run on LiteSpeed servers with NVMe storage.
At a glance
Our founders needed hosting for businesses they ran in Kenya. The big "global" providers all wanted a dollar credit card, which most Kenyans do not carry. They charged in US dollars, so the bill moved every time the shilling did, and their support desks sat in time zones nine hours behind Nairobi.
There were Kenyan hosts too. Most of them ran on older Apache setups, could not take M-Pesa directly, and saw WhatsApp as a "premium" extra instead of the place Kenyans spend their day.
SiteBoma is the host we built in response. M-Pesa sits alongside Visa and Mastercard as an everyday way to pay on Paystack's secure checkout page. Every site runs on LiteSpeed Web Server, which makes PHP and WordPress measurably quicker. Our support team works from Nairobi, during Kenyan working hours. Plans are priced in KSh, so a Kenyan customer's hosting bill does not leap overnight when the shilling weakens.
We serve businesses in East Africa and around the world, yet Nairobi is, and will remain, our home base.
Buying hosting ought to be as easy as ordering a chapati: tap, pay, eat. It should never be "pay, complete three more forms, then hope the account appears within 12 hours."
How the SiteBoma team sees it
One checkout takes Visa, Mastercard and M-Pesa. When a host makes paying awkward, it shows little respect for the people it serves.
You see prices here in US dollars. The charge itself is made in Kenyan shillings (KES), and your bank converts it.
People who understand every layer of the system reply to your live chats, emails and tickets, working from Nairobi on Kenyan time (EAT).
You will not find unprovable trust figures such as "500+ businesses" here, and no carousels or invented reviews either. We are a host that works and says plainly what it does.
A fair account of what we do well, and of the markets we choose to stay out of.
Our head office is in Nairobi and we sell to customers in any country, showing prices in US dollars. Each of our four East African markets has a dedicated page as well.
We keep SiteBoma small on purpose. Engineering, support and operations share one room, or at least one WhatsApp group. So when a problem comes up, a person who understands the whole stack fixes it, instead of passing it up three levels of ticket escalation.
Being the largest host around is not our goal. We would rather be the one businesses trust most when they care about quick payment, quick activation and quick support, ranked in that order.
Speak to the teamPay by card or M-Pesa and have your site running in 2 minutes. If you need a hand, our Nairobi team is one live chat away.
