Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for your account

Add a code from an authenticator app on top of your password, so your client dashboard stays protected.

Nothing protects an account from being taken over as effectively as 2FA. We strongly advise switching it on for every SiteBoma account.

How to enable it

  1. Sign in to your client dashboard.
  2. Go to Profile → Security.
  3. Choose Enable 2FA.
  4. Scan the QR code using Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy.
  5. To confirm, type in the 6-digit code the app shows.
  6. Keep your backup codes somewhere safe. You will need them if your phone is ever lost.

Lost your phone or authenticator app?

Sign in with one of your backup codes. If you did not keep any, open a support ticket with proof of identity: the original payment receipt and ID that matches the name on the account. We switch 2FA off once we have verified you by hand.

2FA on DirectAdmin

DirectAdmin has its own, separate 2FA. Sign in to DirectAdmin → Two-Step Authentication → Configure. It is particularly worth turning on for shared or reseller accounts where several people have the login details.
