Add your SiteBoma email to an iPhone or Android phone

About 3 minutes is all it takes to connect [email protected] to the mail app on an iPhone or Android, using the IMAP, SMTP and port details listed here.

Your SiteBoma mailbox works with all the usual mail apps, including iOS Mail, Gmail and Outlook. Use the settings below.

One set of settings for every device

  • Username: your complete address, such as [email protected]
  • Password: whatever you set under DirectAdmin → Email Accounts
  • IMAP server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • IMAP port: 993 (SSL/TLS)
  • SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.com
  • SMTP port: 465 (SSL/TLS)
  • Authentication: Password (identical to the one above)

Setting it up on iPhone (iOS Mail)

  1. Open Settings, then Mail → Accounts → Add Account → Other.
  2. Choose Add Mail Account and fill in name, email, password and description.
  3. Switch to IMAP, then enter the settings listed above for Incoming and for Outgoing.
  4. Save, and iOS will verify the account before adding it.

Setting it up on Android (Gmail app)

  1. Launch Gmail and go to Settings → Add account → Other.
  2. Enter the email address, tap "Manual setup" and select Personal (IMAP).
  3. Add the password and the IMAP server settings, then tap next.
  4. Add the SMTP server settings, then tap next again.

Using the Gmail interface with your SiteBoma address

In Gmail on the web, open Settings → Accounts → "Check mail from other accounts" and connect your @yourdomain.com mailbox via POP3 (port 995, SSL). From then on Gmail pulls in your hosted mail every few minutes and lets you send from your own domain.
